Oxygen is absolutely essential for biological and chemical processes in the Hudson River Estuary. Fish and other aquatic animals cannot survive without it and decomposition is slowed dramatically in its absence.

Observations from the Sloop Clearwater

The HRECOS station on the sloop Clearwater has been in service for 7 weeks (see live data feed here). Even in this short time, useful stories have started to emerge from the data.
